Akai's response to Korg's introduction of it's nano-series. This controler, however, has both pads and knobs on the same device. And the pads can be programmed to light up when you press them :)
This might be the most cost efficient midi device ever created, even tought it's probably better suited as a complimentary device rather than a main one.
The crazy phone salesperson apparently works at Akai aswell as Numark, but this time he's a bit easier on your mind when demonstraiting the LPD 8:
